Safety Training and Courses
Course delivery options
The Association will do its upmost to provide a variety of training options for each its courses. All courses are designed with the continuing care sector in mind, so all are developed with the intention of the least amount of time required away from regular duties. When deemed appropriate, courses can be available in the following ways:
eLearning | Participants complete courses divided into short modules online and at their own pace. Participants’ progress is monitored and stored through a personalized online access program. |
Virtual classroom | Participants participate in a “virtual classroom” by login in to a live webinar where interaction with a live instructor and other participants from across the province. Prescheduled 20 minute classes make it easy for minimum interruption. This gives the participant the advantage of in-person training without the expenses associated with offsite classroom training. |
Traditional Classroom | Participants would attend classes in person and in groups of up to 20. This delivery model often requires an individual to be away from their regular duties for an extended time. |
